Grownup is an Adjective

Sometimes a nice surprise is exactly that... nice! Today my Mom gave me great advice which is rare because sometimes it's just advice, but today it was GREAT advice. Life is short, it really is. Most people that are close to me know that my Mom is battling ovarian cancer & it really puts things into prospective. Those three words: Life is short. You never know if today will be your last day or when you go to bed at night... there is no guarantee that you'll wake up the next day. Even though I'm frustrated with things in my life right now I'm trying to live my life with no regrets. It's hard but we live in the face of uncertainty everyday. You don't have to be diagnosed with a terminal disease to live better, so why don't we? My Mom asked me if I thought my current issues were worth the frustration to which I replied, "Yes I think so." She says, "Then stand up for whatever it is that you need to do to fix it." I've tried that, Mom. She went on to suggest that mayhapsibly I'm just going about it wrong. "Look at it from a different angle, step out of your comfort zone & tackle it from the side but do it with your heart. Anything worth putting your heart into is worth the battle."
